SYNOPSIS : Before the light touches the screen, there is silence.
In Sukawati, Bali, a Dalang prepares for the night. His hands adjust carved leather puppets. His voice will soon embody kings, warriors and spirits from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.
Through flame and shadow, Wayang Kulit becomes more than theatre. It becomes transmission.
The Man Behind the Shadows is a short documentary about responsibility, inheritance and the fragile continuity of a living tradition.
